Larry Brown

 
Larry Brown, Shop Foreman and Technician, is an ASE certified Master Automotive Technician.  If you need a Smog, Brake, or Lamp certificate, Larry has the skills and required State of California licenses to do it. 

He holds the following licenses and certificates:

State of California: Certified Smog Technician, California Certified Brake Technician, California Certified Lamp Technician
Hunter certified Wheel Alignment Specialist
ASE certificates: Engine Repair, Automatic Transmission/Transacle, Manual Drive Train and Axles, Suspension and Steering, Brakes, Electrical/Electronic Systems, Heating and Air Conditioning, Engine Performance.

 

 

David Brown

 

 

David Brown, General Manager and Technician, has a long history in the automotive service industry. He graduated from elementary school and high school in Weaverville, where he started working in his Grandfather's service station business. His mechanical aptitude quickly became apparent and his keen curiosity provided the opportunity to learn over many years while growing up in a family established in the automotive repair industry. Whether 4-wheeling in the snow, off-road, or on the sand dunes, he learned a great deal about gear ratios, tire applications, inflation and safety. David is ASE certified in brakes.

 

 

 

 

 

Darren Simmons, our Service Advisor, will greet you and help prepare the necessary paperwork that documents the symptoms to help our technicians diagnose work that needs to be done.  He helps explain the estimates and obtains the customer's permission to perform requested repairs.  He also finalizes the paperwork, explains the work that was performed when the repairs are completed and answer customers' questions.  Darren is camera shy!

 

 

 

 

Novella Young

 

  

 

Novella Young, Office Whiz, has been an important, loyal member of the team in our family business for many years.  She takes care of the important day-to-day entries in the back office and helps Nancy keep her sanity!

 

  

 

 

 

 

 

Nancy Brown started keeping her Dad's books at his service station when she was in high school. She attended Westmont College in Santa Barbara.  After marriage, she worked part time while her children were still at home.  She is responsible for the back office accounting, the website, and numerous other jobs at Cornerstone Auto & Tire Center.

 

 

 

  

 

 

Our Company History

Cornerstone Auto & Tire Center is proud to continue a family tradition of service to Trinity County residents and visitors.  Luke & Bobbie Lucas moved to Weaverville in 1982 along with their son-in-law and daughter, Larry & Nancy Brown (and their 2 children, David & Jeanette) when Luke purchased Trinity Chevron.  Since that time, the service station evolved to Lucas BP, then Lucas 76, which was sold in 2004.  Lucas Tire & Automotive was an offshoot of the service station in 1990, and when Luke retired in 2004 and closed Lucas Tire & Auto, Larry & Nancy continued the family tradition by opening Cornerstone Auto & Tire Center at the same location.  We have been privileged to raise our children here and be a part of this beautiful, small, supportive mountain community.  

David Brown is the third generation now working in the shop and is currently the General Manager.  It is great to have David helping in the business! 

Weaverville has been our home since 1982 and our family business of 3 generations is committed to serving the community long-term.
